Institutional member badge for the Student Conduct Institute at the State University of New York.In compliance with 34 CFR Part 106.45(b)(10) of the 2020 Title IX Regulations, all materials used to train Title IX Coordinators,
investigators, decision-makers, and any person who facilitates an informal resolution process must be made publicly available on its website.

Title IX training is provided by the University of Arkansas System, Office of the General Counsel. University of Arkansas - Fort Smith students and employees are required to take TItle IX training.

Title IX Training

For the purposes of compliance with section 106.45 of the Title IX Final Rules, this website includes all training materials created by the Student Conduct Institute for our member institutions to train Title IX Coordinators, investigators, decision-makers, and any person who facilitates an informal resolution process in Title IX compliance and practices. 


Title IX Policies and Resources

The following documents provide important information about how the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith upholds federal Title IX regulations and supports a campus environment free from discrimination and harassment.

These resources are intended to educate students, employees, and visitors about their rights and responsibilities under Title IX, as well as the university’s procedures for addressing complaints of sexual harassment, discrimination, and other Title IX-related concerns.


Mandatory Reporter Resource Sign

University of Arkansas – Fort Smith employees who are not designated as confidential resources are considered mandatory reporters. These individuals are required to report any disclosures of sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, or retaliation to the UAFS Office of Title IX.

VIEW MANDATORY REPORTER SIGN

All UAFS faculty and staff are also required to complete Title IX training to better understand their responsibilities and support a safe and respectful campus community.

To assist employees in fulfilling this role, UAFS has created printable Mandatory Reporter sign that includes a list of campus and community support resources. Employees can place this sign in workspaces, offices, or common areas to help communicate both the employee’s reporting responsibilities and the availability of support services.
