Dr. Toni Alexander
Dean
Dr. Toni Alexander began her role as dean of the UAFS College of Arts and Sciences on July 8, 2024. A first-generation college graduate, she earned her B.A. in geography from California State University, Stanislaus in 1994 and went on to complete her M.A. and Ph.D. in geography at Louisiana State. Before coming to UAFS, she spent a decade leading departments at Southeast Missouri State and served as a tenured associate professor and associate chair at Auburn University, always championing teaching, transparency, and leadership development. Dr. Alexander is deeply committed to both academic excellence and being an active presence in the larger Fort Smith community, eager to help students thrive both in their studies and beyond.
