As chancellor of UAFS, it is my pleasure to invite you to enjoy our 31st Season of Entertainment.This Season’s lineup ensures that Season 31 will be one to remember! You will enjoy some of the best student and local talent in the country when our own Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Jazz Catz, and Drama department take the stage.
At UAFS, we believe participation in the arts is an integral part of the University curriculum, and is, in a deeper sense, an essential part of the human experience. Our mission in bringing you the Season of Entertainment is to entertain you, to inspire you, and to educate you. Meeting these goals is worth every minute and every dollar spent.
I want to acknowledge our Season sponsors and thank those of you who make regular gifts to our Season of Entertainment and our Season Endowment. Ticket sales to these events cover only a small portion of the cost of the Season. It is only through the generous support of so many friends and area businesses that we are able to bring you these quality shows. "Last year marked a historic milestone in the history of University of Arkansas - Fort Smith’s Season of Entertainment. We crossed the threshold into our 30th year of continually enriching the lives of area residents through our award-winning Broadway style performances, Theatre @ UAFS drama, and the sweet, melodious sounds which resonated with thousands of patrons who had the privilege to attend any of the renowned choral, jazz, or symphonic concerts this past season.We could not have come this far without the support of individuals such as yourselves, and we are truly appreciative of our sponsors, donors, season ticket holders, and volunteers for your continued patronage of the arts.
With record enrollment at the university and a city on the upswing in terms of crucial regional development; the need in quality entertainment will only continue to increase for the foreseeable future. We have lined up a list of shows for our 31st season that will rival and hopefully top shows of yesteryear. For this reason and countless others, we look forward to hosting you again this season.
