Campus Recreation and Wellness
The department of Campus Recreation and Wellness is the campus-wide unit that provides a diverse selection of recreational opportunities. The Campus Recreation and Wellness programs are designed to enhance the social, mental, and physical well-being of the UAFS community.
Fitness Center
The Fitness Center houses state-of-the-art Nautilus Nitro selectorized equipment, a full-line of cardio equipment, and circuit training and free weight equipment. The Fitness Center provides facility and equipment orientations, personal body assessments, personal exercise prescriptions, and non-credit group exercise classes.
Intramural Sports
Intramural Sports compliments the program of intercollegiate athletics. Sports are offered each semester and include dodge ball, flag football, ping pong, basketball, ultimate Frisbee, bowling, soccer, softball, and volleyball. Various tournaments are also held throughout the year.
Sport Clubs
The Sport Clubs program provides opportunities for individuals who share a common interest in a specific sport to enjoy the benefits of a group experience. Sport Clubs are recognized as registered student organizations.
Outdoor Adventure
The Outdoor Adventure program provides opportunities for students to have fun, exciting, adventure based experiences. The philosophy of the Outdoor Adventure program is to provide for the cultural and physical development of students in a wide range of outdoor pursuits and environmental settings.
Student Health 101
Student Health 101 is an electronic magazine that covers topics from every aspect of wellness that impacts students’ success and retention rates. The UAFS Student Health 101 is distributed monthly from September to June.
