Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program: New Curriculum
The UA Fort Smith BSIS-Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program will begin a new curriculum this fall which includes a vascular concentration. Due to governmental requirements for medical payments, there is a high demand nationwide for certified vascular sonographers. The new vascular curriculum will allow DMS students to sit for the vascular certification examination in addition to the current abdomen, obstetrics and gynecological certifications enhancing employment opportunities for our graduate.
