Aikido for Beginners

Aikido is a powerful and dynamic martial art that stresses the avoidance of inflicting injury and the peaceful resolution or conflict whenever possible. Students should wear comfortable clothing. All levels of fitness welcome.

Yoga

Learn to relax your body and mind. Yoga exercises can improve flexibility, body alignment, strength and coordination. Students at all levels welcome but are expected to be reasonably fit and able to manage basic postures. This class may be shared with UAFS students and employees.

Latin Beat

Line Dancing

It’s time to kick it up a notch and learn basic country line dances as well as popular club dances. Learn a host of new dance moves and be ready to move on the dance floor. Rubber-soled or soft-sole dance shoes with no heels are required.

Belly Dancing - Workshop

An art form more than 2000 years old is back on the list of popular dances. Belly dancing is a great work-out for the pelvis, abdomen, hips, spine and neck. All levels of fitness welcome at this one-day workshop to learn the basic elements and routines. Comfortable clothing recommended, scarves provided.

Golf for Beginners
- Bill Bracken


Learn basic golf techniques such as the proper stance and grip, as well as golf terminology and golf etiquette. Open to anyone interested in learning this ancient game with immense popularity and played by young and old, men and women. Access to clubs and golf balls will be provided during class. Fee is due at registration.

An additional $20 is due the first day of class at First Tee of Fort Smith. The $20 includes an additional 5 small buckets of balls. Students also receive 5 free rounds at First Tee.
