Scrapbook Therapy

This 4-week class will get you from start to finish on a scrap book project. So whether you are just beginning or need to finish that
unfinished project join us and keep moving. You will bring photos and memorabilia to go in the album. We will provide a list of required materials, plenty of desk space, and above all remember someone once said “scrapbooking is cheaper than a therapist.”

 Knitting for Beginners

Designed for those that have no prior knitting experience, this course will teach you the basics of beginning knitting. Needles and yarn will be provided for the first class and then student must purchase their own supplies. Create simple items but learn the building blocks to bigger projects.

 Scrapbooking - The Digital Way

Use a popular online tool to take your pictures, organize them, create a style, capture, upload and then print. Yes, we said print as in create a book! Print your own finished album in hardcover with your own pictures, customized text, and many designs to choose from. You will enjoy finally putting those pictures of your trip, family gathering or memories into your own finished book for your shelf or coffee table.

Smocking – Sew Beautiful (Easter Egg)

English smocking isn’t just for sweet little girl dresses. Smocking, embroidery stitches on pleated fabric, can have varied decorative and practical applications. Learn this time honored technique or refine your skills with this delightful small project, a smocked Easter egg. Students will learn basic smocking stitches and how to read a smocking graph. At the end of two short classes, you will have a completed project to proudly display before Easter.

Complete student kits (provided with course enrollment) includes detailed, color instructions, pleated fabric, embroidery floss, needles, ribbon and foam egg shape.

Intro to Oil Painting

Learn to create beautiful works of art with oil paints. Course will cover use of color, observation, composition, and basic painting

Smocking – A Bonnet

Learn basic English smocking and make a beautiful bonnet to grace baby’s sweet head. Smocking is the application of embroidery
stitches on pleated fabric. Students will work on a pre-constructed bonnet to learn basic smocking stitches. Detailed instructions,
color photos, illustrations and graphs, together with expert hands-on instruction, will guide you from beginning to end as you create this gift for baby.

Knit-a-night (Hat)

This project based class will teach you more advanced knitting styles, and also create a wonderful donation for a good cause. We will provide the wool. You knit the hat and then these hats will be donated to one of our United Way partners. A chance for you to get and give!
