After careful planning, self-assessment, exploring majors, & individual career planning, you are ready make your decision - to choose a career and declare a major. How do I declare a major?
Contact your advisor to complete a Change of Major form and have it signed by your current advisor.
Make an appointment in the college of your new major to sign a new degree plan and have your change of major form signed by an advisor with your new major. You should also take the opportunity during this appointment to discuss upcoming enrollment, classes and academic planning sheet. How do I know who my new advisor will be?
After meeting with an advisor for your new major, be sure that your Change of Major form is turned in at the Records office.
Now that you have chosen a major, it is time to connect with the staff in the Career Services office. They will help you in finding the tools necessary to become a successful professional in today’s society.
